You guys came recommended for 5SFE obscura questions, so I figured I would give it a try.
I've got a 1992 four door celica. When I start this camry, oops, celica in the morning, it starts and runs fine. When I start this celica after driving it to work (mostly turnpike driving, 30 miles one way) about lunchtime, it'll start fine. The time after that, or if I let it sit for maybe a half hour, it'll start but the idle is disgustingly low - about 500rpm. I broke the thermo-vacuum valve (long story), so I replaced it. Before I replaced it, it would completely stall. Now itt'll hold the low idle until I drive it around and it gets the gears moving, then it will idle normally. The car gets oil every 5k miles, I put lucas injector cleaner in there, I'm 90% sure the odo is rolled back as she's a junkyard special but I'm guessdimating the mileage at 150k. I'm really stumped. Ideas? |
