Rear Disc Conversion Writeup
Ok well I picked up a set of rear celica disc brakes from a car that was being parted out. It took about 6 hours to do mainly because the two hub bolts that connect to the subframe where rusted super tight. I used air tools to get most the bolts off.
You need the following parts to do the conversion. I got my set off a Celica GT with discs option. A GTS disk setup would work too. -Entire Rear Disc Hubs (Caliper, Rear Disc, Hub, Pads) -All the Nuts and Bolts. Even though the existing will work I ended up smashing the shit out of the subframe bolts to get them out. PB Blaster is your friend on theses -The Emergency Brake Lines. (The existing can work with modification but I ended up running the new disc brake lines to the E Brake. I little cleaner. -The Brake Lines. I used these and they fit on the existing brake hard lines. -Brake Fluid. Since the new lines will have no fluid you will need to bleed the brakes to get the air out of the lines. Sockets/wrenchs used were the following: 21 mm to remove lugs 17 mm to remove the bottom subframe 19 mm to remove front subframe to rear discs and strut bolts 10 mm to remove emergency brake lines 10 mm open wrench to remove the brake lines I used a 500 ft lb Ingersol Rand Air Impact wrench to remove bolts, a breaker bar plus a pipe extension (cheater bar), and a bunch of PB Blaster(very helpful for bottom) The install itself is pretty self explanatory. Remove the rear hub assembly, brake lines, and e brake lines. Any haynes manual or chilton should show you how to do it. Final Verdict: Braking power on all ceramic pads and cross drilled slotted rotors on this car is amazing. It stops on a dime. I can't imagine Wilwood's on this car or 2 pistons. I think that would be overkill.

Re: Rear Disc Conversion Writeup
Nice. That's a way to do it. So you just replaced the whole hub assembly? Also were the disks you got the two part type. Disks for stoping then drums for the ebrake. Did you also replace the ebrake pads?
When I did mine I striped both hubs down. And transfered everything over keeping my orginal hub. Words of advice. Try including socket sizes. Tools used and as everyone said pictures would be nice. Also try explaining the process more too.

Re: Rear Disc Conversion Writeup
Yes these are pretty much the setup where the ebrake pads are behind the rear discs. Mine had a little pad left but I need to replace those next.

Re: Rear Disc Conversion Writeup
Ya I was thinking you can do it that way to. I got my parts off a car getting parted out car so I just wanted to swap everything over. The bottom hub bolts where rusted together badly. This took me a long time to get off. Best bets to PB Blast both and let sit, PB blast them again and let sit, and then PB blast and take a breaker bar and a cheater bar then impact wrench them off.

Re: Rear Disc Conversion Writeup
so its all basically bolt on from one celica to another? about how much did you all pay at the junkyard or where ever you all got the parts because it sounds like it would be pretty cheap considering the junk yard i live by prices are a set price no matter what car you get it off of but i do not have the price on hand so i was just wondering..

Re: Rear Disc Conversion Writeup
I think collectively I spent 80 to 120 for mine. But I got new lines. New pads. Had the rotors turned. And I grabed the whole assembly
