Hey Guys, I got some nice advice from PINEAPPLE about this; what does everyone else think?
I have a 92 GT... excellent condition. Had it since 120,000 km and just hit 170,000 this week. I recently installed headers, 4-1 design excluding the cat. As you might already know, I now have the most horrible sound coming from my one outlet muffler. It seems to be worse when its cold and gets better as it warms up, but is still there. I definitely got gains from the header and it doesn't really feel like i lost any low end torque. I thought about installing a Magnaflow muffler to alleviate the sound and make it sound like a Celica again, and not a freakin Civic rice burner. What do you guys think? Would I be better off installing another resonator or re-installing a cat... switching to a GTS muffler... or going with a Magnaflow or other aftermarket brand. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!

Re: Exhaust Noise After Header Install
Right, removing the cat on any Toyota will cause that sound, I had a similar issue with my 91 Corolla. The questions is, what can be done short of reinstalling a cat?

Re: Exhaust Noise After Header Install
I think I am going to make sure I put a high flow cat on when I redo my exhaust so I can avoid this problem.

Re: Exhaust Noise After Header Install
Let us know how it goes, I want to re-do my exhaust as well and would like input from those who've already done it.
