Some Mods?
YouTube - Rev Engine 1992 celica thats my current engine, maybe i need a new CAI? I heard WeaponR Intake is quite nice.
YouTube - 92 Toyota celica I want a better sound, it sounds like crap atm. ![]() ![]() I know the car itself looks good, but i think more performance mods can make it hell of alot better, and close to a car show. I need suggestions on mods, and where to buy them. ($ is not an issue). Thanks, Nick |

Make sure you are getting the entire wiring harness and ECU and make sure a shop with experience on doing swaps on toyota's is doing the work. Its not the hardest swap but its not a "direct replacement" If you plan on doing it yourself the best/easiest way is to purchase a half cut. There are many reasons for this. 1. You will ensure that you have EVERYTHING required to make the swap happen. Every sensor and little bolt will be right there for you. Also you can start it before you buy 2. Dual Piston front Caliper Breaks 3. Alltrac hood if you like that kind of thing. 4. 4wd tranny that will give you all the required parts to convert a MR2 tranny to FWD 5. numerous extra parts such as hubs, interior pieces, a tranny cooler, extra rad Thats my two cents. guys have have gone the motor route and its worked out but only after seaching for the missing links and have always run into issues afterwards while all those that I've know that have bought clips have had little issues. Me I bought a motor and spent a few thousand and never had it running properly

Re: Some Mods?
Yea, this is what im looking at.
eBay Motors: JDM 3SGTE 90-93 Toyota Celica 2.0Litre 225 hp (item 290077471988 end time Feb-07-07 13:29:55 PST) Since my car is automatic right now, there will be tons of fabrication due to the fact im going to convert it to auto-manual.

Re: Some Mods?
Well in your case I would source an MR2 tranny with LSD before you start the swap and yet another reason why you should purchse a clip as all the required parts will be there fore you to convert your car from Auto to 5speed
Stop shopping on ebay and start looking in your yellow pages for engine importers
