I don't think they make a cold air intake for the 5th gen. The battery is in the way.

The 5th gen is built with a sort of cold air intake. there is a snorkle that pulls air from behind the head light and wraps around the battery into the airbox. To put a CAI into the 5th gen you MUST relocate the battery

Can't you just move the battery a bit and use the resonator hole? I was able to make a CAI that way in my Corolla.

You might be able to but I don't there would be enough room for a decent size pipe

i am gonna send a pipe straight down then behind the bumper... i think that would make the biggest difference. i was thinking about having it custom made... what do you think?

Custom make is good. Make sure the filter point down and shield from water splash. Also there is no water accumulate point along the pipe. So if water get in, it'll drain out through the filter.

I believe the hole is good for 2.5" pipe.

you just have to relocate the fuse box that is bolted on to the battery. thats what i did. have a 3 inch pipe with a k&n cone filter on it. just my two cents
