Martin and i went on a road trip and i think i am going to cancel my plans for world domination with the cold air intake. maybe exhaust instead.
The general insite is that an intake wont make an overall huge difference right now, what do you guys think??? if i turbo the car later on the cold air will be usless.... what else could i be doing with this money |

Buying a header would make your car a lot nicer, my boyfriend just put one on his 93 celica and put custom exhaust on it, its so nice his car creams mine now, I don't even try to race him now cause I know I'll lose lol. makes it sound real nice, give it a lot more power, If i was you I would buy MartinGouda's header, you won't be sorry.

custom exhaust cost about $500 for the best piping, catalytic converters, and muffler. but if you got your own muffler you want to put on it'll be cheaper. You should do it. I'm getting ready to go have mine done.

Umm i wouldn't do pvc piping, and don't do any piping more then 2.5". you might be able to buy the piping from a exhaust n muffler shop and do it yourself that will save on labor so the cost would go down to about $300. but you need to know how to weld.

yeah, if you can bend it yourself go for it but if you can't just get a custom shop to do it I think its worth the money. or you can just do straight pipes.

toyotacelicaonline.com -- go into the mods section, there are two guides on DIY CAIs, and neither required relocating the battery. You can, and it will allow you to run the CAI farther away from the manifold, which keeps the temperature down, but battery relocation is not a requirement.
Further, there's a thread up now on 6gc.net with pics of an aluminum intake with the filter positioned in the fenderwell, the pipe running through an enlarged resonator hole. He's reported issues with the filter causing the splashguards to push against the tire, but I expect that could be resolved with a longer, slimmer filter pointing down into the corner of the fender. |

maybe that air bowel makes a difference.....
was their noticable gains with just the filter change from the stock to K+N... just wondering because there is already sorta an air ram in that fender... i dont wanna make it less efficient just for a nice sound |
