Soft Clutch disengages early...any ideas?

Hey, I have noticed that the clutch on my 89 CelicaGTS has gotten softer. I would normally assume this is just air in the system, bleed it and be done with it. BUT i ahve also notcied that while it is softer, it also engages late and disengages real early. As in it has to be almost all the way to the floor before it engages, and practically as soon as u lift up..maybe an inch off the floor, my clutch is fully disengaged, I have no "mid way" if you get what I mean. I leaning towards a master/slave cylinder problem? has anyone else had this probem ever, and have any advice?

Thnaks for your time

Chris

Sorry to say, but it sounds like your clutch is just wearing out.
