swapping the 3sfe for....
alright, I'm finally able to do something to this car, but I don't want to spend all the money and change my transmisison or crossmembers and all that jazz, I just want a decent motor upgrade, anyone know what I can safely go to with only changing the motor, I've got a 3sfe (quite a monster, I know :( .
any additional information would be nice, it's not going to be for racing or anything, I just wanna have a little more satisfaction while driving this one.

get a 5sfe out of any camry or celca... it'll give you slightly better power and torque...

88 3SFE = 115 HP
5SFE = 130 to 135 HP Don't forget the wiring and ECU though. All 'S' series motors will bolt in for you, such as the 3SGE, 3SGTE. But Locker's suggestion is much easier.
