Nos kit on a 3sge

I just scored myself a 5Lt dry Nos kit from a friend completely ready to be fitted in. Does anybody have the slightest clue on how to hook it up.I know im probably crazy but if im going to die early ill die going 300 km/h. My friend got rid of it because he had no clue on how to wire it up but im not going to make the same stupid mistake of getting rid of it like he did :-) STUPID ASS

Any idea what shot / size injectors you have got:- 25 - 50 - 75 - 100 etc, as you don't want it all going in at once if you have the larger injectors, best to get a progressive controller, start off small then steady increase of NOS. Not 100% sure but some peeps have direct ported into the intake manifold dril and welded series of bosses, then tube upto bottle. Could be an idea to get one of those bottle heaters as well or wraps just to warm the NOS up a little for best performance. Wish I knew more about this to help you. Still the laughing gass will certainly put a smile on your face once its up and running proops to ya.

I think the injectors are the 50's or 75's one of the 2. Yeah your right most peeps have direct port thats what im trying to do. Ive already got one of those Nos bottle heaters so thats not a problem. Anything else i need to know about installing it. Dont worry you helped me enough to start off, my true skills lie in muscle cars so any info about jap cars helps. Maybe i should just get a bottle of normal laughing gas hey, it would probably have the same effect :-)

NightWolf, i've asked a question about NOS for the 4th gen, peeps have recommended to:-
Quote:
Full compression and leak down test before even considering it, progressive for anything above an extra 50bhp

just a thought, but i think the gen4 inlet manifold is a twin port per cylinder TVIS item, so be careful where the manifold is drilled for the ports.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Going by other members past Gen4 experiences, the oil strainer in the sump seems to block up over time , and if given loads of stick up into the red line, they can blow their big ends away....so "NOS" could be to much for the old girl :( .

Just a couple more comments and things to be aware of.

yeah your right its the twin port tvis item, iv already got the ports drilled, it was kind of tricky but its done, thanx for the info about the oil stainer ill check it out. I kind of had a feeling that she might be a tad old for it so im doing a slight rebuild and preping her for her new systems,so we'l see how she handles it. That full compression and leak down test seems interesting so ill check that in the rebuild.
Yeah keep the info comming, its all good stuff.
thanx bro

Thanx guys but i dont plan to have just one blast of fun, i want the car to run on more nos then petrol :-) thats why im rebuilding her. She aint gona be much of a 3sge engine after im finished with her, so i want to do it properly and make sure the engine can take all the nos i give her. I see that no jets will be more fun but good luck finding any engine that will be able to handle that without damage afterwoods lol.
