sucking hot air problem

Gday
Iv been having a problem to keep the 3SGE engine from sucking hot air, i replaced the air box with a sports drift pod, stainless steel tubing, replaced the stock vent with a monster one that starts right behind the right fog light hole, built a heat resistant box for the air pod and covered it with a heat shield.I need some more advice, any ideas?
