87 Toyota Celica "springs"

Hi. I own a 87 toyota celica coupe 3sfe. I bought it with cut springs & it has 15" scion rims & tires. The tires wear out in about 5,000 miles & it bottoms out horribly on the smallest bumps. I'm looking for either stock springs or a set that lowers it only slightly. Will this help with the inner wear on the tires enough? or should I find stock rims & tires as well. I don't really want to sink alot of money into as it needs several things like

when I start the car I have to crank the motor for several seconds then turn it off & then I crank it again & it starts.

Sometimes the starter & flywheel make a horrible scratching sound which means I probably need to change the flywheel?

Top end rattles at initial startup but then quiets down after a few seconds.

A sport bike ran into the back of me when I got off the freeway, but luckly he only broke my right tail light which I'm replacing with one I just bought off Ebay. Funny thing I had just bought the left tail light from the same guy a couple days before thinking I don't need the right tail light. I was wrong. Cost me $40

Trying to figure out how to change the transmission fluid. I heard I need a pump. Can't find the plug on top.

turn signal left makes buzzing sound. I read here that I need to replace the turn signal relay. If I hold the turn switch not all the way down I can make the signal work with out the buzzing but that is getting old.

The transmission has a slight whine to it some times. Not really bad. I figure it needs tranny fluid.

Carpet is shot. Need replacement.

CV Joint boot on right side is torn. Couldn't remember if the left side was torn. hmm

Body is okay. Front bumper driver side has been tagged slightly. Needs bumper cover & alittle hammering to straighten out the bumper. Needs paint job.

Also will need new front tires when I replace the springs.

Smogged last month, not sure if it was legally done. Paid $150 outright. $161 for registration for late fees, title transfer, blah blah blah.

I initially paid $850 for this car & had a mechanic replace the oil seal, timing belt, and some relay. The car still leaks oil from the same place so i've taken it back 3 times to the mechanic & the first time he said there was no leak. Then the second time he noticed the leak when i left it but said he couldn't find it after two days of having it. Then the third time he said it was the valve cover gasket but it still leaks after that. Getting tired of going back I paid the mechanic $450. I think his guys didn't let the oil seal set properly or something like that.

Is this car worth fixing up still? Or should I sell it to pick U part for $500 and start over?

Go visit your local junkyard and get some parts. That'll take care of most of your issues.
