where could i find my ecu in a 3sge engine on a celica gt 1988

On my '91 it is behind the radio head unit... WAY back there like on the firewall almost. It is a huge pain to get too. I hope yours isn't in the same place, but if it is not there it should be above the glove box area. Usually you have to take out the glove box and it is right there. Sorry, I can only tell you where they usually are..

mines under my stereo, if i remove all the center counsel you can get to it easy..

dane thats not the ecu thats the airbag control unit it resembles a ecu should have yellowish orange wires coming out of it the ecu is farther back under the heater core

behind the stereo. you have to take out pretty much everything under the dash to get to it. not every little thing but the thing you see when you step inside.
