3SGTE swap problems

I just did a 3sgte swap into a 89 Celica front wheel drive and it cranks but won't start. I made the wiring harness and its plugged into a 3SGTE ECU. all of the connections check out with the schematic. I have the fuel injector resistor pack wired in and there is power to the injectors but no pulse signal to the ground side. I have the fuel pump come on with an ignition lead. I have spark at the coil. I'm using the original AFM from the 3sfe engine and I'm wondering if that would be the cause. I have it wired as if it were the 3SGTE AFM. Does anyone know if the 3SFE had the same AFM or if it would work? Does anyone know of something that I'm missing that would keep the injectors from opening? maybe a boost sensor?

the 3sgte AFM is the correct one to use, I don't think the 3sfe even had AFM.

I'm sure someone will chime in about your fueling issues

the AFM is the factory one it had with its 3SFE, the two schematics (3SFE and 3SGTE) show them being the same but I know that means nothing.

Ahh, I misread that
You'll probably need the turbo pressure sensor, AFM, and fuel pump resistor packs from a 3sgte to get it going

You need to have a 3sgte AFM the 3sfe one will not work. I've tried myself

thanks a lot for your advice on the AFM, I'm going to get one off ebay this week hopefully. Do you guys know if there was one part number for the AFMs in the three different generations of 3SGTEs.

does any one know where the boost pressure sensor is mounted on an 89 All Trac celica. Is it mounted on the firewall?

does anyone know if part #89420-14020 is the right Boost sensor for a 89 Celica all trac 3sgte

I assume your talking about the 2 bar map sensor. yes it is mounted to the firewall
