Well, in the US, they didn't make a 98 WRX. They made a 98 RS which had the 2.5 non-turbo motor. That is assuming he didn't upgrade to a turboed motor.

It only had 165 hp/162 ft lb for that motor. So if you go the motor 3sgte, you would have a chance for sure.
