You won't necessarily lose hp but you would lose hp to the wheels and there's benefits of both. With awd cars you will launch better and won't break lose as easily. Everything is entirely up to you. What you want to do to the car. And what do you want the car for. Like I have a 91 gt with the 5sfe in it. Most people would do a 3sgte swap. Where im converting it to a 5sgte. And its not an easy task. I want my car to be unique and have a lot of power. So that's why im going the route that I am.
