On this car, there is no center wire visible on the distributor cap! I don't even see a wire hanging anywhere. This surprises me because I have never seen a distributor cap without a center wire. On closer inspection there is no hole on the center cap for a wire to fit in, but there is a round metal piece in the middle of the center plastic protrusion. There is no wire going to this center port on the distributor cap!!!!!

I just purchased a Haynes repair manual and it doesn't show a center wire attached to the cap !!

Confused!
