Io know exactly what your talking about. There a jumper that goes there. At least on mine there is. I've taken it out before and it hasn't done anything. If you want just make your own jumper. Just get a little pice of wire and crimp two flat male terminals to it. And place it in the connector. I think its the top left and bottom right. That the jumper/wire in your case. If you feel uncomfortable with making your own jumper ill pull one from a junkyard for you. Ill even do it for free.
