get a multi tester and check if theres power coming out of the socket. + in the center and - on the sides. Also check your plug the fuse may be blown in the thing your trying to plug in, check the length of the contact in the center as well as the sides make sure they are touching the contacts in the lighter socket (twist it around to see if it will get any life)

let us know (it may just be dirty)
