from my research thru this subject there are a few options
- if ure gonna go with Injen CAI, also get yourself a water shield from Injen or similar product that prevent water to get to the filter
- if ure gonna go with AEM CAI, get yourself a bypass valve, I've heard pple claimed that it worked well, but also a few that claimed that one wouldn't need it unless submerged.

even with both, it goes w/o saying but one should always stay away from puddles and reduce your driving under severe weather...

Do more research on your own to find out more info about it and decide which ever is safer and best for you. As for my part, I'm getting AEM CAI w/o bypass valve cuz it's not likely that I'll b submerge here.
