87 engine swap

in early august of last year i bought a 1987 toyota celica from a local dealer and the car ran great. a couple of months later mine and my girlfriends one year anniversary was coming up so i got my oil changed so i could drive us 90 miles to go to red lobster. i made the mistake of gettin it changed at wal mart. one of the jerk off workers at tire lube express left my oil plug unscrewed a little bit and all of my oil leaked out without my noticing. after i drove to memphis and back to jonesboro (appx. 90 miles) a day later was about to throw a rod through the block. a few months later i bought a new engine off of ebay (jdm) same as what was in it 3sfe engine. we got the engine all bolted in and wired up. my car will not start. it will turn over but it wont start. i called the guy that sold me the engine and he told me that i was gonna have to pull my engine back out and swap out my intake manifolds from the old engine (theyre different)
i am wondering if there is any way around pulling the motor back out cuz it really was a pain in the neck. there were only a few slight differences in the engines via the intake manifold and it had bigger injectors on it. all help will be appreciated
