It might be a different story with a 94 since they have less power. Check with whatever insurance company you're going to go with, they'll give you an estimate.

As far as good first cars go, if you want a manual the sentra se-r is pretty good and not bad on insurance either. You could also get a jetta or golf with the 1.8t engine, they're even better on insurance than the sentra.

My first car was a solara with the v6 and insurance was quite good on it since it's got a camry drive train. It was pretty fast and looked nice but they're pretty bad for corners since they're so heavy. But still, I would get the same car if I did it over again. You could also try looking for an infiniti g20, they have motor you can turbo to hell and are cheap on insurance as well.
