01-03 celica engines have this problem. Nothing you can do but keeping a quart of oil in your car and check the level every couple of weeks and add if needed. If you over 100k on your odometer, suggest to switch to 10-30 or even 10-40 oil, it burns less. Synthetic oil burns even less but cost more. Nothing you could do but rebuild the engine, which is not worth it.
