Well the S motors suffered from leaking valve seals, I wouldn't be surprised if they couldn't get it right on the Z motors either. If you leave it sit a couple days and start it and you get a puff of blue smoke, that's most likely the cause. It's nothing to worry about if that's the case and there's really no fixing it, it's just the way they are. I have over 230k on both my "leaky" engines and no problems. One uses about a liter per 3000km but the other uses about a liter per 1000km. Back to the OP, a liter per 350 miles is excessive.
