so a guy i know ordered a short shifter off ebay for his car.

the shifter alone was $15+10 shipping
or
you could get the shifter, a knob and a leather shift boot for $25+10 shipping

so i offered him something in trade for the knob and boot that was worth more than $10 bucks and he accepted,
i didn't really want the shift boot (red stitched black leather) but i figured where is the harm in having spare parts
now i think the knob might look ok in the del sol.
the current knob i have in the car is a stock knob that has been modified to be much lower than stock.
the stock knob had 2 cm's cut off the bottom of it, then it was drilled out and tapped for the B7M race shifter i am using
it's hight would be approximately the same if not lower than the type r style knob
